  　1. how often常用来问频率。如:

　　-How often do they play football?

　　他们多长时间踢一次足球?

　　-They play football every day. 他们天天踢足球。

　　2. how long常用来问长度。如:

　　(1)问时间的长度,意为"多久" 。如:

　　-How long did he live here? 他在这里住了多久?

　　-For about twenty years. 大约二十年。

　　(2)问物体的长度,意为"多长" 。如:

　　-How long is the boat? 这条船有多长?

　　-It's more than ten meters long. 有十多米长。

　　3. how far常用来问距离。如:

　　-How far is the post office from here?

　　邮局离这儿有多远?

　　-It's about three kilometers. 大约三公里。

　　4. how much常用来问价钱。如:

　　-How much is your new bike?

　　你的新自行车多少钱?

　　-About 500 yuan. 大约500元。

　　5. how many / how much常用来问数量。如:

　　(1)"How many + 可数名词的复数形式"询问可数名词的数量。如:

　　-How many students are there in your class?

　　你们班有多少学生?

　　-Sixty. 六十个。

　　(2)"How much + 不可数名词"询问不可数名词的数量。如:

　　-How much meat is there in the fridge?

　　冰箱里有多少肉?

　　-Only a little. 只有一点。

　　6. how old常用来问年龄。如:

　　-How old is your Chinese teacher?

　　你们的语文老师多大岁数?

　　-He's about thirty. 大约三十岁。

　　7. how soon常用来问时间。如:

　　你母亲还有多久将回来?

　　-She'll come back in two days. 她两天后回来。
