难忘的经历
This summer holiday, I went to Dalian with my family. We got there by air. Dalian is a very beautiful and modern city. On the bus, we could see all kinds of buildings which were great.
这个暑假，我们全家去了大连。我们是坐飞机去的。大连是一个既漂亮又现代的城市。在公交车上我们见了各式各样的高楼大厦，它们都很棒。
In the morning, we got to the hotel where we lived. After breakfast, we began to our travel. First we took the bus to the Sea Park. There are so many different kinds of fishes that I couldn't believe my eyes. We also saw the show of dolphins. Then we had lunch in a restaurant. The seafood which was very famous in China was delicious. After lunch we went swimming. The sea was blue and beach was golden. We all enjoyed ourselves in the sea. Finally we went back the hotel where we lived. We had a happy day.
早上，我们便到了住宿的旅馆。早饭后，我们开始了我们的旅程。首先我们坐公车去了海洋公园。那里有各种各样的鱼，我都要不相信我的眼睛了。我们还看了海豚表演。然后，我们在一家餐馆吃了午饭。中国的海鲜果然是又出名又好吃。大海蓝蓝的，沙滩金灿灿的。我们都在海边玩地很开心。较后，我们回到了酒店。我们度过了愉快的一天。
In this trip, we also went to some places which were interesting and famous in Dalian, went shopping and so on.Several days later, we left Dalian. On our way home, we were very happy. This was the reason why we didn't feel tired. In all, we had a good holiday.
这次旅游，我们还去了许多大连有趣的、的景点，还去逛了街等等。几天以后，我们离开了大连。在回家路上，我们也过得很开心。这也是我们都不觉得累的原因。总的来说我们度过了一个很棒的假期。

环境保护
The world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable because of environmental destruction. Bird flu and Sars are twotypical examples that environmental destruction may threaten our life. Besides, forest destruction , water and air pollution result in decrease of planting land and unpleasant weather.
由于环境遭到破坏，我们生活的世界正变得越来越难以忍受，禽流感和SARS是两个典型的例子，对环境的破坏，可能危及自己的生命。 除此之外，森林砍伐、水质污染和空气污染导致耕地减少，气候愈发恶劣。
Serious as the problem seems, we can come up with some measures to deal with it. First of all, the authorities should adopt the policy of "sustainable development", and laws concerning environmental protection should be put into effect and enforced strictly just as our government has been doing.
这是个很严重的问题，但我们可以想出一些解决问题的方法。首先，政府机关应该采取“可持续发展”政策，有关环境保护的法律应该要付诸实施，并且要像我国政府一直在做的那样，严格执法。
What' s more, every citizen should realize the seriousness of the problem and make concertedefforts to protect our environment. In addition, planting trees helps improve and beautify the environment.
另一方面，每个公民都应该明白问题的严重性，并为保护我们的环境而一起努力。 此外，植树有利于改善和美化环境。

一件感人的事
Yesterday afternoon I went to the Yuexiu Park. It happened that I saw a touching event. At that time, some people were boating on the lake. Among them was perhaps a happy family. They were taking photos when suddenly the girl fell off the boat into the water. She wasstruggling and her parents cried out, "Help!Help !" It was obvious that they could not swim at all. From nearby a young man immediately rushed to the lake. Without taking off his clothes, he jumped into the water and quickly swam towards the girl lwho was already tired out. At last he carried her to the lake side. She was saved!
昨天下午我去越秀公园玩，碰巧看到一件感人的事情。当时，有一些人在湖上划船。在他们中有一家人正玩得开心。他们正在拍照，忽然小女孩从船上落入水中。她在在水中拼命挣扎，她的父母大声呼救;显然他们不会游泳。附近一个年轻人立即向湖边冲去。他没有来得及脱衣服就迅速跳入湖中向那个筋疲力尽的女孩游去，较后他将小女孩拖向湖边，她终于得救了。
How happy the parents were! Before they thought of thanking the Young man, he haddisappeared!
小女孩的父母喜极而泣，当他们想起感谢那位年轻人时，他已消失在人海。

我的梦想
When I was a naughty boy, may be because of the influence of the film "Xiao Bing Zhang Ga", my dream was to be a soldier just like Zhang Ga. I thought if I was a soldier, I should be able to swim, dive and climb trees as he did. It seemed to be very wonderful. So I began to learn swimming, diving and climbing trees. I practiced every day and finally I could do them well. But when I entered junior high school and had the military training. I suddenly found that being a soldier was very difficult and I wasn't strong enough tobear it. I had to give my dream up.
当我还是一个顽皮的孩子的时候，也许是受到电影《小兵张嘎》的影响，我梦想着成为一名像张嘎那样的军人。我想如果我是一名军人，那我就会像他那样会游泳、潜水、爬树。那样该多好啊。所以我开始学习游泳、跳水、爬树。我每天都训练，终于我做到了。后来，我升初中的时候，参加了军训。我突然发现当军人是非常困难的，我还不够强大到能适应。我不得不放弃我的梦想。
But I wasn't discouraged, and I had a new aim, which was to be a postman, or rather to be a newspaper boy. As a newspaper boy. I could speed along streets on a bike and throw newspapers onto every porch. That's also very cool. So I started learning to ride a bicycle. After the everyday practice, I could go very fast by bicycle. But to my disappointment, the job which I wanted only existed in western counties not in China, because there was no porch in China. And Chinese postmen had to stuff very thick newspapers into very small mailboxes from very narrow entrances. The job was far from what I had expected. So once again my dream fell through.
但是，我还是没有泄气，我有了一个新的目标，就是当一名邮差，哪怕是一个报童也可以。如果我成为一个报童，我可以骑车在街道上飞驰把报纸扔在每一户门廊前。这是件多么酷的事。于是，我开始学起了骑车。经过每天的训练，我可以骑得很快了。但令我失望的是，我想要的那份工作只有西方国家才有，而中国是没有的，因为中国家庭是没有门廊的。而中国的邮差不得不将一摞很厚的报纸从非常窄的口子投进很小的邮箱里。这样的工作与我的想象天差地别。所以我的梦想再一次破灭。
Perhaps you have had the same experience as I and most of your dreams haven't come true yet. But I think it doesn't matter, because if you have a dream, you'll make many efforts to realize it. This course is really important. If I hadn't dreamt of being a soldier or a newspaper boy. I wouldn't have learned to swim, to dive, to climb trees or to ride a bicycle. Even if our dream can't come true, you'll learn much from the efforts you have made. So what I want to tell you is that dream helps us to grow up and teaches us how to control our lives. It is dream that gives us power and makes our lives colorful.
也许你和我有着相同的经历，大多数你的梦想都未能实现。但是，没有关系。因为，如果你有梦想，你会努力去实现它。这个过程才是较重要的。如果我没有梦想着成为军人和邮差，我就不会学会游泳、潜水、爬树还骑车。即使我们的梦想没有实现，你也能在你努力地过程里学会很多。所以，我想要告诉你梦想帮助我们成长，教会我们如何掌控我们的人生。梦想也给了我们力量，让我们的生活多姿多彩。
