　　高考英语词语辨析:no longer,not...any longer&no more,not...any more

 

　　1.表示数量或程度，要用no more(后接名词，more为形容词，不接名词，more为名词)或not...any more。如：

　　There is no more bread.没有面包了。

　　I have no more to say.我再没有什么要说的了。

　　The boy doesn't want any more.这孩子不想再要了。

　　2.表示时间，no more通常用于句末，且一般与非延续性动词连用。no longer通常放在句中(放在行为动词之前或特殊动词之后)，可用于延续性动词和非延续性动词，此时也可用not...any more或not...any longer。如：

　　We don't live here any more[longer]./We no longer live here.我们不住在这里了。

　　He knows that he is no longer young.他知道自己不再年轻。

　　我再也不去那里了。

　　正：I will go there no more.

　　正：I will no longer go there.

　　正：I won't go there any longer[any more].

　　注：在正式的文体中，no longer也可位于句首(句子用倒装)或句末。如：

　　No longer does he love her./He loves her no longer.他再也不爱她了。
