　　1. It all depends.

　　表示某事或某情况还没有决定，得看情况而定，意为：这很难说，那要看情况。如：

　　Sometimes we‘re busy and sometimes we’re not so busy. It all depends. 有时我们很忙，有时我们不太忙，这要看情况。

　　A：Are you going to the dance this Saturday? 这周星期六你去跳舞吗?

　　B：It all depends. Are you going yourself? 到时候看情况而定，你去吗?

　　A：Do you always go on you holiday together with your sister? 你总是同你姐姐一起去度假吗?

　　B：It depends. If I have my holiday the same as she， then we go together. 那要看情况。 要是我们正好同时休假，我们就一起去。

　　说明：也可说成 That (all) depends. 或只说 Depends. 如：

　　I may help you， but that depends. 我可能会帮你，但那要看情况。

　　A：Will you come back next Monday? 下周星期一你能回来吗?

　　B：That depends. 那要看情况。

　　2. You may [can] depend on it.

　　表示肯定，意为：肯定无疑;助力没错;我敢肯定地说; 你放心好了。如：

　　He‘ll win the match，you may depend on it. 他一定会赢了这场比赛的。

　　You may depend on it that they will support you. 他相信好了，他们会支持你的。

　　说明：有时可省略成 Depends on it. 如：

　　Depend on it， he will pass the examination. 他肯定会通过诊断。

　　They will be here soon， depend on it. 他们很快就会 来的，这你可放心。
